Participants will be able to gain knowledge and valuable insights into their role as a grandparent to feel more informed and confident as they embrace the role in the future
Who is the Grandparents course designed for?
All those who identify as Grandparents, Grandparents-to-be, Step Grandparents, those in blended families who are curious and excited to know more of their role, the responsibilities, expectations and ideas.
What are the course options and inclusions?
The one-day course for grandparents is energetically designed to provide as much information and inspiration as possible in a one-day format
Each participant will receive the course workbook to use as a guide throughout the day to record important tips to keep as a valuable take home resource to continue to use well into the future
Each attendee will be welcomed and provided access to all Julie’s workplace facilities with unlimited beverages and refreshments shared generously to sustain you throughout the day
Whenever required ongoing support will be provided by Julie in the form of texts, emails, phone calls, video calls
What topics are covered in this course?
- Newborns, appearance, behaviour, changes, settling, feeding, newborn care tips, car seat, travel, safety, senses, crying, communication, needs, sleeping, choices, nappy changing, bathing, swaddling, massage, medications, practical ways to be involved and supportive.
- How to ensure you are welcome, valued, and about boundaries and maintaining family harmony
- Historical changes that have occurred over the previous decades, leading to now and what may be in the future
- Current day standards: What’s normal, responsibilities, expectations
- How Grandparents can be an inspiration for the younger generations
- How to provide support emotionally, physically, and in practical ways
- Your next 5 years and beyond, planning, involvement, support and future happiness
