All women have their unique way of imagining what birth will be like for them… during their pregnancy they take moments to consider what their own journey to birth will be like…
I believe that all of life’s journey’s from pre-birth through to the woman’s moment of giving birth to her first baby have been preparing her for the experience.
Every physical experience from supreme pleasure, comfort, discomfort, relaxation, stress, pressure, release, intensity, relief… through a myriad of bodily sensations she has had millions of opportunities to become familiar with her own body and it’s reactions, responses, functions, movements and abilities.
“Climb the mountains and get their good tidings. Nature’s peace will flow into you as sunshine flows into trees.
The winds will blow their own freshness into you, and the storms their energy, while cares will drop off like autumn leaves.” John Muir
“Each of us should have his or her own Everest – a testing place in any endeavour where the goal is almost, but not quite, beyond reach.
When you take on a great challenge & persevere, you discover that your abilities are more than you ever imagined, enabling you at times to accomplish the “impossible.”
A life lived in this way is infinitely fulfilling.” Dr. Kenneth Kamler
